Approved by Council: October 23, 2020: This Advisory discusses important considerations and Member responsibilities associated with the discontinuation of services or practice closure related to retirement, resignation, extended leave of absence (such as maternity/parental leave, sick leave, etc.), revocation, suspension, incapacity, or death.
Mechanical Nail Debridement in the Context of COVID-19 Advisory
Approved by the Executive Committee: March 10, 2021: This Advisory discusses the use of nail drills during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In providing guidance to its Members regarding best practices for the use of nail drills in the clinical setting during the COVID-19 pandemic, the College is taking protective steps for both its Members and the public.
Social Media Advisory
Approved by Council: February 26, 2021: This Advisory discusses the use of social media by Members and its unique challenges, including but not limited to, maintaining patient confidentiality and professional boundaries in an environment that is inherently public and not secure.
